New to European sections? A UB, UC, IPE and HE table all read the same way once you know where h, b, tw, tf and r sit, and which axis Iy and Wpl,y refer to.
Rule of thumb: Wpl,y is what you use for a Class 1 or 2 bending check, Wel,y for Class 3. #steelsections

The root radius r is the one people tend to skip, but it goes straight into the shear area Av of a rolled section.

Right: Av = A - 2 b tf + (tw + 2r) tf for rolled I and H sections, and not less than η hw tw.
