Does the UK annex use 6.10 or the 6.10a/b pair?

The UK National Annex allows either. The 6.10a/6.10b pair usually gives the less onerous result, so it is the common choice.

And the favourable case: permanent actions at γG,inf = 1.0 in STR checks when they help (EQU uses 0.9).
