W 8X67 has a mass of 67 lb/ft (99.7 kg/m), tabulated to AISC Shapes Database v16.0. A 12 m length therefore weighs about 1196 kg, which is the figure to use for a steel take-off or when checking a lift.

W 8X67 has a depth of 9 in (228.6 mm), a width of 8.28 in (210.3 mm), a web thickness of 0.57 in (14.5 mm), a flange thickness of 0.935 in (23.7 mm), with a cross-sectional area of 19.7 in² (127.1 cm²). These are the nominal dimensions from AISC Shapes Database v16.0; rolling tolerances apply to the delivered section.
