These Terms of Use govern your access to CivilAxis and its engineering tools. Please read the engineering disclaimer carefully - all results must be independently verified by a qualified engineer.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using CivilAxis (civilaxis.com), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Engineering disclaimer - important

The calculators, tools and content on CivilAxis are provided for information and educational purposes only. They are aids to engineering, NOT a substitute for professional judgement.

•Always verify every result independently against the governing code and your own calculations.

•A competent, qualified engineer remains fully responsible for any design.

•Do not rely on any output as a final design without independent checking.

CivilAxis makes no warranty that any result is correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

3. The service

CivilAxis provides free engineering calculators (to Eurocode and related standards), reference tools, articles and a professional community. Features may change, and tools or content may be added, modified or removed at any time.

4. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate others or misrepresent professional credentials.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant CivilAxis a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it within the platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share what you post, and that it follows the Community Guidelines.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

•Post spam, misinformation, or content that could endanger public safety through unsafe engineering practice.

•Share confidential client, project or employer data without authorisation.

•Infringe intellectual property, harass others, or attempt to disrupt or misuse the service.

7. Intellectual property

The CivilAxis name, design, original tool engines and original content are owned by CivilAxis. Engineering standards and codes referenced remain the property of their respective publishers; we cite them for educational reference only.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CivilAxis and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or reliance on) the platform, its calculators or its content, including any engineering decision made using them. Use is at your own risk.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
