What this standard covers
TCVN 4453:1995 is the Vietnamese standard for monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete structures - the construction standard covering how concrete work is actually executed on site, rather than how it is designed.
The standard covers formwork and falsework, reinforcement fixing, mixing, transporting, placing and compacting concrete, curing, and the tolerances and acceptance criteria applied to the finished work. It also sets out when formwork may be struck, which depends on the strength the concrete has reached rather than on elapsed time alone.
It is a workmanship standard, so it is the reference for site supervision and for resolving whether completed work is acceptable - a different question from whether the design is adequate, which is TCVN 5574.
